The children (4 & 10yo) loved these.Kept them engaged for ages and they loved the crystals.Good selection of tools and great to have 3 separate things to dig out.Some reviews mention staining. We did it on a tuff tray with a sheet in the table. No staining at all even where it fell in the floor etc

This kit is fab, very enjoyable and great rocks to find! A lot of fun! BUT whatever it touches it will stain and it does not come off! It’s ruined my kitchen floor and my sink bowl :(

So enjoyable for my daughter to dig out all the gems! She learned about all the different types and the spare planet-chalk was used to paint on the playground floor. Good quality gems, big enough to appreciate the different colours and textures

My daughter loved this, was great fun to do and kept her engaged for a good hour or two at least!The gems discovered were good quality and the tools provided were amble. Even a little bag to keep them all in.Make sure you have a good dust sheet down!Great value for money, daughter is 9 years old and was perfect for her.Would have been cool if there was a little fact sheet to keep about the different stones though.

Present for grandson and he loved it

This was a Christmas present for my 7 year old.Comes with protective glasses and lots of different rocks to find.This item has provided hours of fun and entertainment. It is quite compact, the balls are the size of a toddler ball.Not too messy as the balls can be cracked whilst inside a container or a box. Easily washes off hands and rocks.

Would recommend the kit. 5 stones per ball. 3 ball as with different colours. More than enough to occupy the kids. Recommended to wet them first. We put them in the bath- took abit of a clean to get the colours off the bath afterwards so a washing up bucket or disposable tub might be better for your dig. The kids absolutely loved the ‘dig’ aspect or bash it with the little hammer and chisel on some disposable towel to minimise mess. You only get 1 gift bag per pack so if having a go with more than 1 child and there’s sibling rivalry then best to have a couple of display bags spare to avoid any issues. Great fun .Good value for money and Kids kept happy for a whole morning!
