I just received this set of gunsmith screws. Although kinda long for scope base mounting, they are excellent, especially since these are Torx. No more Allen screws for me!The fact that each size is in a marked bag, is a BIG plus!

Recently I've moved into the new wave of mounting optics on handguns, instead of relegating them to traditional domain of long guns, and this is where I have learned you face ooops or dilemmas from time to time. Lets say you have a slide cut for a particular footprint or mounting plate, go to mount the actual red dot with the proper footprint, but oops, the supplied screws arent quite right, too short, too long, wrong thread, phillips head vs flat head, vs socket, etc. The optic mfg sent the right screws, but some handgun slides are milled directly with that particular footprint, while others are milled more generically requiring the specific mounting plate in between the handgun and optic, which then changes the length of threads needed even though you have the right footprint (Doctor/RMR/etc). Given that I have multiple handguns and multiple red dots and occasionally want to move one to another, this is my OOPS Kit when those dilemmas occur and the kit includes two allen wrenches so you aren't then fumbing for a phillips or different size allen wrench down the road once the originals fasteners are replaced with these. Kudos to Monstrum

I was a little leary because the item was for a Remington 700. However, as described it fits my Remington 721 perfectly.
