Good cat scratcher. It's way bigger than expected, about as tall as my couch. It's easy to put together and the instructions are clear. It might be made out of cardboard and wood(?), but mine lasted 2 months. The frame started coming loose before the actual scratcher was worn through (although I believe the issue with the frame to be constructor error rather than product error)However if you're an incompetent constructor like me, be careful with the screws and know the instruction manual means every word. When I was assembling mine, some of the screws would go in sideways despite my efforts and unalign the frame. I would take those screw out and put it in again, I never needed a third try. In the instructions, it says to create a divot where you're going to put the screw in. For the lack of a better phrase, make sure it's a good hole. I put a pathetic little indent and that's why I think I had such trouble aligning the screws properly.As a last note, I'll add that my cat is 6lbs. She is not big by any means. I don't know how this scratcher will hold up against a cat that's normal sized or bigger.

I love this cat scratcher. I have a larger cat, and this is great for him. We purchased in April 2024 and replaced it in June 2025. It had 4 holes clean through the scratchers, and everyone had a field day with it. When they start making holes in the scratcher, it will really start to shed, but I don't mind. The mess tends to stay right under the scratcher and not go all over the place. I am quite pleased with how long the scratcher lasts for the price! My cats love this thing! I will be purchasing again when this one wears down. This stays together even as the cardboard wears down. It is used every day, multiple times a day by 4 cats. I am quite pleased it lasted a year! I find it very easy to put together, just remember to push the screws well into the cardboard before starting to screw them in, that way they remain straight when screwed in. Very lighweight!

I buy this cat scratcher on a regular basis, as all my cats love them. They use them as beds as well as cat scratchers. My Zoe in particular gets ecstatic when I pull a new one out of the box and assemble it. Right now, I have four lined up in my living room. Sort of a lounge area for the cats. And they are great to put at the end of the sofa if you are afraid your cats may want to scratch the fabric. This removes that temptation. I usually replace them about every 5 months, as they do shed a bit.

Good scratcher. Would rate 5 stars, but they don't offer replacement cardboard scratcher sections as best I can see.With it having a wooden frame and the attachment plug/screw just going right into the cardboard, there really is no reason to buy the product twice instead of just cardboard replacement.Hoping I missed something and they do offer replacement cardboard because this thing is good.

This works as intended, keeping most of the shredded cardboard in the box for dumping, and has a nice side benefit for my 10 pound female cat. It’s the perfect size for her to fit in and be comfortable.So I’ll find her napping in it.

With several good scratching poles and 'approved for scratching' old furniture. After 50 years living with cats and this is a winner. It is a great size for my 'big' cat and solid without being heavy. It took only a few minutes to screw the unit together. One light weight screwdriver is all you need and all the screw holes were actually in the right place for connecting. And OH, my cat is a big fan too!

As noted by other reviewers this does take at least 15 minutes to assemble but it is very sturdy. My cat seems to prefer the long side to be on the floor and I haven’t seen him scratch the vertical piece. The 3 star rating is because the ball that came with the kit is too small it can very easily be removed from the grooves. I substituted a slightly larger ball from another cat toy and it works fine and my cat does play with it. But the provided ball should be the correct size.

My cats love these and it helps keep them from clawing at the carpet on the stairs. I'll continue to order them as the cats wear them down
