Buying for quality
I bought these as I needed to finely polish a few various surfaces.I was concerned about trying these due to the high price compared to cheap wet/dry sandpaper.It's a reusable Micro-mesh cloth unlike wet/dry sandpaper where you'll end up disposing after use.Be wary that grit ratings for Micro Mesh is different from grit ratings for wet/dry sandpaper.If I had to, I would buy these again, they are worth a few more pounds for great quality.

If rubbed VERY lightly, this also can sand down scratches on acrylic watch glass. Using progressively higher numbed grades

Excellent product, a must have for any jewellery maker
Excellent product, a must have for any jewellery maker. It can achieve a mirror finish in the same way as using a polishing motor and compound. The cloth is very flexible making it easy to wrap around a need file for sanding tricky parts. The price is excellent considering the last will last you years and it is a lot cheaper than buying as set with less sanding grades at a professional jewellery making supplier.

Fantastic for tool sharpening
Although these seemed expensive I was desperate to find something that would sharpen and polish my leather edge beveller. These worked amazingly well. Well worth the cost.

Perfect for guitar neck and frets
Used these on a new guitar neck and the frets. I wasn't happy with the feel, it's now super silky smooth.

Excellent Sanding/Polishing material
Although the sheets are smaller than regular sand paper/ wet and dry sheets they last a lot longer as they can be cleaned after use.One important thing to remember is to use water when sanding/polishing as this extends the life of the material.I use for modelling and cut off smaller strips for use.

A good quick fix, easy solution to honing. Not quite a stone - but not far off
Used these on a flat piece of glass to tidy up/restore edges of various cooking knifes.Work VERY well.Are they an undiscovered replacement for whetstones you have fondly collected over the years?Unlikely.HOWEVER - if you want a "quick fix" that will genuinely help you get a cleaner edge to knives, adding a few more levels after that initial clean up with a coarse stone - these little beauties REALLY come into their own.
