I rarely leave reviews but this magnetic screen impressed me because of all the old type ones I bought in the past. This may not be the most updated type but it is sturdy and all the magnets are sewn into the edge so they don't fall off and there's a lot of them and it's very well made. I don't give things that kind of Kudos unless it's deserving. My dog comes in and out with ease. I got tired of the old ones cuz those little plastic things holding the magnets would always fall off. I really like these and I bought them a year ago and I'm only sorry I didn't hang them up and see that they weren't the old plastic magnet type. Well done to the people who upgraded this thing

Our storm door doesn’t have a screen so with this magnetic screen door we’re able to open the door & get cool air flowing without worrying about bugs. We don’t go in & out this door much so I feel this should do the job we need done.

This product is awesome! I first ordered one 4 years ago and I absolutely loved it. We have french doors leading to our deck but one of the doors is basically locked in place so we never open it. I use this product to cover the entry way of the door we actually do use every single day.I have dogs and no doggie door. This basically allows me to leave my door open on days when the weather is nice (pretty much most days since I live in Atlanta). I can do this because I work from home and this is also my office / den. So, this product allows my dogs to go in and out as much as they want. The magnets automatically close the screen immediately, so no bugs either! Awesome, right!?There is a downside but it's minor. I have to replace this screen every year. But keep in mind, we use this screen hundreds of times every day for most of the year. Dogs are in and out constantly. So, it gets a lot of wear and tear. And it's obvious that I'm replacing this product every year because of my dogs. The top is in perfect condition but the bottom 2 feet is just worn slap out.One last thing, I've replaced this product every year for 4 years so I've installed a few. I just use staples and discard the tacks. But, if you decide to use the tacks, I advise you place half of them across the top and space out the rest along the sides, placing a few extra near the bottom and top corners. The middles of the sides seem to receive the least stress from use.And try your best to make sure the sides are plumb or it won't shut properly, so test it before you commit to a position. It comes with adhesive velcro that's about an inch wide so you have a little room to play with from side to side. Just try to keep the lines straight and not spread too wide at the bottom.This is a wonderful product that I depend on day after day and year after year. Update: While this screen door is stronger than another one we purchased it is not holding up to my dogs nails. Occasionally the glass door is closed and she will scratch to get in, the result is damage to the screen material, I'm including a photo 10 days into having this installed. Overall this screen is much better than others out there, it self closes reliably and is relatively durable. But if you have pets that will scratch or climb it isn't going to last long. I like this screen a lot so my plan is to reinforce the outer side with some pet defense screening material that I had rescreened our traditional screen with since it can withstand a 16 pound cat climbing it as well as dog scratches. Hopefully that will do the trick.Original review: This is much better than a similar screen we purchased.The screening material on this is more durable than what was on our last magnetic screen. I believe this will hold up much better to our dog scratching to get in when the glass door is closed, she created holes in the last screen (fabric type screen with vertical stripes through it).The lack of vertical stripes also makes for a much nicer view. The material is very similar to a heavy duty screening material that was on out last sliding screen.The Velcro creates a solid seal around the sides and top where the last one was solid on the top but had three 6" spots of Velcro along each side. It installed easily. It closes on it's own well.Overall I anticipate it will be far superior to the last magnetic screen we had. I will update if it does not live up to my expectations over time.

I’ve tried literally dozens of magnetic fly screens for my front and back doors - usually I bought cheap ones and after one year they fell to pieces so I replaced them. They were ok but after a couple of months of use the cheap ones would start to droop and fray and inevitably small holes appeared where something had caught as you went through. Also the intermittent magnets on cheap screens always let the odd fly or mosquito in but we thought it’s better than nothing. But this time i decided to look for something better so I looked for the most expensive fly screen I could find here on Amazon and I haven’t been disappointed- this screen is seriously heavy duty, very toughly made from some kind of fibreglass material and obviously professionally assembled and stitched. And best of all the magnetic closures run down the whole length of the join - not just intermittent magnets like the cheap ones. We’ve had it for about three months now and it’s excellent - the 100% magnetic closures mean nothing gets by them, we haven’t seen a fly or mosquito in our house since we fitted this. Fitting was super easy but be double sure to order the size that fits your door frame, don’t guess it. Black is better as it doesn’t show any dirt - we’ve had white ones and shockingly after a few months the joins start showing streaks of dirt where you push them apart with dirty hands I guess? Anyway ten out of ten for this screen, you won’t be disappointed and I’m betting it’s bomb proof and will last us years.
