Why can’t this unit be delivered to my address in NY?

I just tried to order the 8K BTU unit to CT.  Won't ship.   10K BTU Same error.  12K Will ship no problem (Estimated sometime in the month of July.  Contact CS via chat.  Long story short.  the 8K and 10K are at fulfillment centers too far away.  They blamed security as a reason it won't ship.    They did try to blame manufacturer for the shipping issue and sale issue.  When I said shipped and sold by Amazon, I finally got the story about the fulfillment centers.  While they did promise to make it available to ship here in the next few days,  I am not holding out hope.
So off to the interwebs I went.  I found a Danby 8K U shaped unit for less money.  While watching the install video on it, and then watching the Midea  install video they are the exact same video.  In the comments Danby says they are the same unit.  So I bought the Danby from costco and it will arrive in a few days

Question 2

I ordered the 12,000 unit in April when it was in stock. Has anyone received them?

Not me, not yet. I pre-ordered an 8000 unit on April 8, and the listing said it would be available April 20, and the order estimate has said "arriving May 19 - May 28" ever since late April when they were supposedly available. I've since checked the listing and it goes back and forth between in-stock and out of stock. Very frustrating to pre-order something and then see that it's in-stock, but then have absolutely no updates. I'm keeping my order open to see if it will actually get here by the end of May.

Question 3

How can you turn off beep confirmation??  It’s way too loud and annoying, especially in the middle of the night.

Just installed the 8000 btu unit today, and it was purchased about 3 weeks ago (April 2022). The remote that came with it has a button labeled LED, and pressing that will turn both the display light and the beeping off. I also installed the app and both can be controlled seperately from there. Once device is found in the app, pull up the menu from the bottom of the screen and tapping the icons for the LED and sound will turn them off and on individually (blue indicates on, but I used the remote before the app, so both were off and not blue when I pulled up the menu; the icons changed to blue when I turned them back on to test but I'm not sure if they would've been blue at start or not.)

Question 4

Anyone know where the speaker is on this unit? The beeping is sooo loud when you press the buttons. Was going to throw some tape or foam over it.

If you don't want the app, you can also use the remote and turn off the LEDs with the LED button which also turns off the sound. Yes. It is absurdly loud. Hope they change that with new iterations.  If the remote is being finnicky, power it on on the unit and  then power it on from the remote to turn off the LEDs and sound. I don't know why it works this way but the remote is a little weird.
