Works great in my dongleNo problems

This is advertised as being from the Three shop and preloaded with data. It is NOT! It is from a third party supplier and you have to call a ‘freephone’ number, send a message or email to get it activated and then the data is loaded. If you try and send a message it comes back not sent. If you try and send an email, what little data is there is insufficient to send and receive and if you try and call it doesn’t work. If you need a preloaded SIM card from Three you are better of walking to their store and getting one in person.

So I got this to use for with a dongle at home until my actual internet gets out on in a few weeks. I read the reviews and people saying it didn’t work. Put it in the dongle and it worked for like five minutes then went off. I messaged three and the guy said it needs activating in a phone. Crazy but I went round the houses here to find another phone. Only phone I had was iPhone. Then had to get it unlocked to accept the sim. Once the sim was in I had to find the number of the sim which took a while. Once I had the number and I’d also advice to jot down the 19 digit number on the Sim as you’ll need both to activate it. Spoke to Three on the online chat gave them the phone number and 19 digit sim number. They at first said they couldn’t see the pre-loaded data pack but then they could. I paid for 50GB but they gave me 100GB as they had a promotion on. I didn’t have to pay any extra costs. Anyways thought I’d share this as it wasn’t easy but if you follow my steps and it’s activated you can use it.

Bought this SIM card to mainly use when travelling to the USA. Easy to use that had no connection issues either here or in the USA, data service worked perfectly and didn’t let us down. Good value for money and would strongly recommend.

...you have 1 month from the date of activation to use any included minutes, SMS or data. You're not buying 50GBs of data which you can take as long as you want to use - you're buying 50GBs of data to use in one month and after that, it's gone. I'm a bit thick and I've never had a PAYG SIM before, so I didn't realise this. It never occurred to me that the data had an expiry date, especially considering the price I paid.I think most people would probably struggle to use 50GBs in a month if they're just using it for travelling so I'd seriously consider a lower amount, like 20GB and save yourself a few quid.I wanted to use this to test the 5G coverage in my area after Three built a new mast down the road. Unfortunately I didn't realise that even though it's been three months since they built the mast, they hadn't actually switched it on and now that the data's expired, that's £16 down the pan. I also can't top it up because it doesn't have a mobile number. Live and learn.

Cheapest way for family travel with data to the US. Popped this into a small hotspot / mi-fi device and connected the family’s phones to it on “low data mode”.Note that Three cap out of EU roaming to 12GB a month, but this was plenty for two weeks with a family of four.

I use these SIM cards for my mobile wifi, and TV Internet.Very good value.
