Just buy it
I purchased this about a year ago and have to say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. I’ve resolved multiple car issues by myself using this, helped neighbors resolve car issues, and it’s now helping me with a new vehicle I purchased. It shows all types of codes that matter powetrain to chassis. Couldn’t get better! Doing this myself and getting live data so I can test drive before and after the repairs is worth its weight in gold. This scanner acts like one that should cost hundreds of dollars. Buy it! You won’t regret it!

Does exactly what it says—easy and reliable
This scanner gets the job done. I used it on my vehicle and had no issues whatsoever. Simply plug it into the OBD port under the steering column, turn the car on, and it starts reading codes right away. It’s straightforward to use and does exactly what it advertises: reads diagnostic trouble codes and can temporarily clear them. Of course, if the same code keeps showing up, it's best to take your car to a mechanic to get to the root of the issue—but for a quick scan and reset, this tool works perfectly.Highly recommend it if you're looking for an affordable, no-frills code reader that just works. Reliable, simple, and great value.

Yes, buy this one!
My truck wouldn't start, just clicked when I turned the key. I checked all the fuses, checked all the sensors, thought maybe it was the starter. Because I couldn't drive it to a parts store to have them hook up their OBDII for free to tell me what the problem was, I was forced to buy one on Amazon. I bought this one for like $20. As soon as I read the manual, I hooked it up to my truck (so simple and easy) it immediately said "crankshaft error- code P0335". I thought "Oh no! A bad crankshaft! My engine is toast. What am I gonna do?" But when I googled the code, turns out it's just a crankshaft position sensor. Whew, that was a close one. Best $20 I ever spent.

Quality tool, bad manual
Quality through and through. Works like a champ. Read my code and pointed to the oil sending unit. Replaced the oil sending switch and fixed the problem. I'd like to address the fact that though it does clear the check engine light (you do it manually) rerunning the code check it still shows the same code. This is contrary to the instructions witch state after clearing the code recheck to confirm it is gone. This in wrong, misleading, and confusing to new buyers. Clearing the code does not do what you would think and what other inferior code readers do. The code remains until the problem is fixed and the car is run enough to complete its next computer wellness check. Then the code is gone. This is not stated in the instructions, but make sense to me as a problem with the car is not fixed by clearing the check engine light. This is a well make product and I would recommend to others. I am taking one star back because of the confusion with the manual. It needs clarification.

Ancel AD310 ODB2 scanner
This is by far one of the best low priced scanners that I have ever used. It's simple, fast and easy to diagnose problems that are keeping you from reaching the ready for testing state. After scrolling thru the readings, mine had no CEL's, it showed the O2 not completed.I then scrolled to the chart screen in live data, scrolled down to the bank 1 sensor 1 and was pleased to see real time data such as a scope shows, everything was fine. Next up bank 1 sensor 2, the first look everything was fine. Back to sensor 1 everything was fine. Sensor 2 on the second look it was flatlined. Again cycled and on the third look, the signal was degraded and fluctuating.Bingo, an intermittent issue.I had already ordered the replacements so they were on hand. Once I had verification from this scan tool I replaced them. You always want to replace the entire bank, even though only one shows faulty, the others will soon follow. With this tool it took less than 10 minutes to resolve my trouble.Thank you for a great product.Don

Inexpensive, but very good bang for the buck
This is an inexpensive, basic scanner. If one tries, one can spend hundreds of dollars for a scanner with more bells and whistles. (As an example, I just returned a different IOT scanner that wanted unrestricted access to my WiFi router.) This scanner does not ask for my personal info. It does not need A WiFi connection, and does not send/receive email. Also, it draws power from the OBD-2 socket. It does not need to be charged overnight. It comes with a very nice user guide that explains how all the screens work. The display is in black and white, but has good resolution and offers several real-time graphing functions. The menu and set-up screens are intuitive. Once I got started, I had no problem navigating through the displays. I was able to view all the data I wanted to see, and was able to reset all of the codes that were causing lit trouble lights on the dashboard. In short, this scanner does the job and even offers some additional features that make it easier to use. This scanner is a keeper.

Nice little instrument to keep in the vehicle
I thought it might be a toy. You know does it really work? But my mechanic and my small guy both said it was good and it actually tested with the same results as their models which are probably hundreds of dollars. Great little thing to have out there on the road in case of emergency.
