Fantastic value. Saves money in the long run. My two red eared sliders, eat it with no problem. One container lasts us about a year. And they are happy and healthy. It does have a strong odor but as long as you don’t keep it stored open, it doesn’t continue.

My daughter’s turtle seems to like this food enough. However, these little gnat like flies kept appearing in the aquarium and my daughter’s room but nowhere else in my house and I kept wondering where are these flies coming from!?!? I didn’t figure it out until I stuck the whole container of food in the freezer for a day. I’m not super duper positive that the bugs were actually eggs in the food pellets, but so far I haven’t seen any of those flies since I pulled it out of the freezer. Hopefully that actually did the trick and I’ve solved my tiny fly problem

I'm not an expert. Aquatic turtles can be picky. Of all the stick-type foods that one can feed to an aquatic turtle, this is the one most preferred by the turtles. Of course, the turtles would prefer fresh salmon, swordfish, and tuna, but those don't supply the huge amounts of calcium they need in their diet. This does. My oldest turtle has been fed a diet of this for 34 years. He seems healthy and still enjoys the product.
