Cool grip
This silicon handle holder works great on our Lodge cast iron pan - insulates well and slides on and off easily when using the pan in the oven or on the stove top (but secure when being used) no problems -solid purchase.

Essential Addition for Lodge Products
If you have any Lodge product with handle, it's highly recommended to add the this Handle Holder Cover. I bought two and never thought they would be so effective in handling the very hot Lodge cast iron products. These covers provide excellent heat protection and make it much safer and easier to handle hot cookware.

ok
When I decided to buy this product I had assumed that I could keep the holder on the handle until the entire duration of cooking. However, that was not the case. If you keep it longer than just 5 minutes on the handle, it begins to start heating up and the holder becomes quite useless. So it is good for use just when you need to hold the handle and after you have done with the task, it is better to remove it from the handle. Not sure if my expectations were right.

Does not propagate heat from pan on to the hands
Very useful to hold iron pans that usually get very hot and are difficult to move using kitchen towels or tongs
