Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy - S042174, 4" x 6" (100 sheets),White

I use these with my Epson 8550 Ecotank photo printer. I have printed hundreds of images and the prints are absolutely perfect, showing the finest details.

I have an Epson Eco Tank printer, and I wanted to scan and print some old family photos. This Epson Ultra Premium paper is great. It is heavy weight and produces fantastic results. Epson also makes less expensive photo papers, and they produce very good results, but the weight of this paper makes it worth the extra cost. All the Epson photo papers are formulated specifically for use with the Epson inks. Don’t believe advertisements for third party inks and photo paper. The printer manufacturers go to great lengths to match paper absorbency with their OEM inks. So, I highly recommend you buy your photo paper from the same company that made your printer.I can’t write this review without also commenting on my Epson Eco Tank printer. Before I bought it, I used to buy off-brand ink to save money, and I regretted it every time. The Eco Tank printers use a lot less ink, and refilling the tanks from ink bottles is very economical. I have had my printer for over five years, I have printed several thousand pages without nozzle clogs, and I am only halfway through my second set of ink bottles.

This photo paper is really nice.I wouldn’t buy it from Amazon though, they don’t properly package it and it with the corners damaged. Twice now I’ve gotten paper shipped in a flimsy plastic bag. In fact I have yet to have a photo paper order arrive damage free

Must adjust bottom paper guide; snug-- possibly some wiggle-room in tray; flat, not bowed, slide paper forwarduntil it touches.. Then select color; paper size '4 x 6' (range1-1 sided) and type {may depend some on image and not in that order}. Test first (Load a few) before wasting several. I chose ultra glossy setting for my photo. Note:Handle by edges; out of sunlight or in moist area, to 'dry'. Happy here!A good idea to have some A4 paper with this model (ET-series?) which is used for testing; adjustments etc.

The difference between the premium and ultra premium is weight. The print side seems the same and prints the same. This is thicker than the premium. I use these to print for a showcase and when the printer is dialed in, the colors are rendered nicely. With a pigment printer, I get the known specular glare issue, but it's not a problem for viewing, especially under glass, and it's only noticable if you tilt it to catch the specular glare. For the fine art stuff, I tend to print matte, so that's the way to go for the very best images, but this is 99% the quality in a glossy image that is good for printing and handing out.

I love this printing photo paper it makes the picture look nice and bright and they come out really clear lovey it!

I'm an Epson diehard. Have been for years. I only use Epson paper in my Epson Artisan 1430 printer. What's wonderful about this paper is that it prints on both sides. What's confounding about it is that, on our printer at least, you have to clean the print heads every time before use or it prints inaccurate colors. It's interesting to note that the printer displays colors perfectly on plain of photo paper without having to clean the heads first.So, if you, like us, are an occasional printer user, don't hesitate to use this paper. If you have an Epson 1430 printer, just make sure that you clean the printer heads before printing. Of course, then you'll have to purchase more...EXPENSIVE...Epson printer ink! (six cartridges)
