BLACK+DECKER 63091 3-Tier Heated Clothes Airer with Cover & Wheels Aluminium, Cool Grey, 140cm x 73cm x 68cm

Not used it to it's full potential but so far very good, I have to have this up in my dining room due to lack of space elsewhere and glad to say it doesn't take too much room up, it does get quite hot and dries the clothes especially t-shirts very well, I do rotate jeans, sweatshirts and heavier items around, it's very sturdy and takes a lot of weight, I like it for the fact I can load it, switch it on, cover it and leave it to do it's job, I do this mostly in the morning as I've not ventured to leave it on over night, glad I bought this as it's better than the open out one I had and was useless.

My first introduction to heated airers. It’s big. It’s easy to put together and fold to put away, with instructions on the pole. It’s stable. I find it quite fiddly hanging the wet washing, easier to lie items on. It dries much better on the top rails. I hung some washing on my old unheated airer at the same time and some items were dryer than similar items on the lower rails of the heated airer. I’m happy with it but I’m in a small one bedroom apartment so possibly something smaller would have been a better choice for me. I’d have no hesitation in recommending it to someone with more space than me.

Good airer, like the fact it comes with a cover. Pros - Dries clothes quickly, plenty of drying space. Cons- Bottom shelf is not as good as I find the bottom of the clothes damp so have to move them to a higher shelf. the cover is a bit floppy as the frame to keep it rigid is very fiddly and not rigid.

i accept a heated airer will have limitations and can't perform miracles- will have to ensure the room is still ventilated for air flow and you flip individual items of laundry around so heat gets to all parts.i chose this brand over the lakeland drysoon after much deliberation as i liked that it took up less floor space and cheaper.ease of use - wheels are very useful to rotate while hanging out the clothes and moving it closer to window for ventilation then back to wall overnight.smaller footprint in terms of floor space but the same space as this one is taller but less wide.

This was a hard product to rate. It does what it's supposed to for the most part but not in a very successful way. Some positives, it's heated and it distributes its heat well, it's fairly sturdy, enough at least to hold a decent sized load of clothes effectively, and it folds up pretty compactly. It's still quite large though so you may want to measure the space you think you'd store it. It's about the size of a large door when collapsed.It's biggest weakness is its really cheap construction. When you are collapsing it you have to turn the "shelves" in a particular direction and they don't all turn in the same direction. If you are careful and good at remembering which direction to turn them you'll probably be fine but I turned the middle shelf the wrong direction with barely any force and it snapped off where it was connected to the frame. I didn't feel any resistance when doing that, so the plastic is pretty weak. There are arrows on the plastic part of the frame that tell you which direction to turn them but they are really hard to see, just molded into the plastic (so the exact same color as the plastic they are molded into) and I didn't even notice them until looking at where it broke. Even after it snapped the thing still works, I just have to not put much weight on the middle shelf. Be careful in using it, it's pretty fragile.

After one month of use ( 1 person , not alot of clothes) it broke

The good - price with cover £142 works well shirts on a hangar dried without creasing other garments laid on the rungs all dried well.Sturdy & seems well built.Folds up nicely and easy to storeThe not so good.ON/Off switch no temperature control / no on off timer.Well built with the exception of the cover supports which ( a bit like an umbrella to hold the cover clear of the sides) see pics. They are bits of thin wire with plastic tips that constantly fall off but are needed to prevent the wires puncturing the cover. Really poor cheap design that doesn't fit together properly - minor but a 10p part and a rubbish design.Cover ( sold separately for £40 ) not any better than my daughter in law's modified duvet cover she uses for hers - so the cover is expensive for what it is.Overall though pleased with the product - only had it a week but hopefully with the Black & Decker name it should last - apart from the spindly cover supports that I will have to replace or modify
