Wilkinson Sword Nail Clipper with Nail Catcher

As nail clippers go, these are the best I've ever used and I'm glad I went with the brand. In the past I've just brought cheap nail clippers although at £3.99 these Wilkinson Sword ones certainly weren't expensive.So far I'm very happy with my purchase. Will be interesting to see how long they last {I will update my review if they do break.}Update: 8th February 2022 Still going strong and just found out that by giving the nails clippers a shake that the nail catcher is there and does work! I'd previously mentioned that there was no nail catcher so my mistake!

A little smaller than I was expecting, and compared to the old one I was replacing. Not used to it yet to use it fluently, small size makes it slightly more fiddly. Sharp. Haven't removed catcher yet to empty it, as not obvious.Will probably grow on me though.

These clippers do trim nails and they catch the nails but try and empty the collected nails and you will find it is impossible. The plastic container will not come off at all. I have tried everything and so has my wife. It should be a simple thing to do, just slide it off and empty into a bin. Should be but it does not. After over an hour of trying my wife she could open it wife a pair of scissors. This then in turn bent the plastic on one side which then snapped it in two. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND NOW I WILL HAVE TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER BRAND AND BUY THEM. THESE ARE THE WORST NAIL CLIPPERS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. DO NOT BUY THEM FOR IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE THROWING YOU MONEY AWAY.

Nail clippers in our house tend to last years and years, and I thought I'd go for a branded one for better quality. With Wilkinson Sword being a household name I thought I couldn't go wrong. When I opened it and found a very basic and bit flimsy clipper, I actually thought I ordered the wrong one, or they sent me the wrong one.I double checked the packaging, yep it had Wilkinson Sword's logo on it alright.It works ok, but not as sharp as I expect, I have certainly used sharper ones and more sturdy ones.I cannot recommend this. 3 stars for being a very average nail clipper, not at all what I expected from a big brand.

I hate it when nail clippings go every where and have tried so many things to prevent it! I don't need to worry any more, as these clippers are great and capture 99.9% of the clippings!

Love these!! Been looking for a decent pair of clippers for ages. Good and sharp and easy to hold. However..... I've knocked a star off for that stupid plastic covering! I cut it off with really sharp scissors and a knife. Revealing normal cutters. If I couldn't get it off, they would have gone back. It blocked the maneuvering into tricky angles. Anyway, I did get it off. So all is good. I've actually ordered another to keep one upstairs and one down. It would have been a 5* review, but I knocked 1* off for the annoying plastic thingy, which was a pig to get off. (worth doing though!)
