Works well, no extra noise

Seems to work well, I do not get extra noise. Only using with 9v battery for now. For the cost it’s worth it.

Solid pedal with a lot of versatility

I decided to buy this pedal so as to avoid replacing the pickups in my bass, and I have not been dissapointed -- as soon as I figured out what frequencies I wanted to boost, my tone has improved dramatically. I mostly play metal and gothic rock, and having a brighter tone that can cut through the mix while not being muddy is something I was having trouble with before getting this pedal. The plastic case feels more than sturdy enough for home use, and if you don't stomp on it while wearing a suit of medieval armor (like some people who complained about the plastic have probably done), I don't see why it couldn't work for casual gigging.I will say that it does tend to start clipping and/or hissing if you turn up the higher frequencies too much. My advice is to set it to a point at which it's not noisy, and then turning up the volume on your amp -- that seems to work much better, but it might be personal preference.

Really helps shape my bass sound!!!!

This is exactly what I needed to control my bass. I have a "Boss LMB-3 Bass Limiter Enhancer" going to a "Behringer BDI21 V-Tone Bass Amp Modeler". This worked well, but I was not getting the sound I was wanting to hear out of my amp. Sooooo, after I got this EQ, I adjusted the sliders to where I wanted and my sound smoothed out considerably and I was able to get rid of the boomy low end that was really messing up the overall sound of the group I was playing with. With this EQ, I was able to isolate the frequencies better and today was the first day I used it. I was quite happy with it and the bass really sat well with the live mix. The EQ pedal is a MUST HAVE for the bass player as well as the Limiter Enhancer.I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the pedal construction is plastic and the sliders feel kinda loose. They are way too easy to slide and I feel like I need to be really careful with them.Having said that, I'm not paying for a $99.00 pedal. So, for what it is, it's perfect.

Works Well with My Bass

Works well, and I'm happy with it, but others may wish it were more robust.

Great cheap little EQ pedal.

It's not going to be built like a brick, we all know this. That's not the point though. The point is, this actually sounds really good for the money. Like, I was expecting quite a bit of noise, or at least some noise, but nope! Very clean, easy to use graphic EQ with good selection of bands. Really underestimated how useful these become in a pinch.

poorly made

I bought this Behringer bass equalizer primarily because someone I knew had a Bahringer bass amplifier and it was a nice piece of kit at a very reasonable price; this pedal did not fall in that bracket. When I first received the package felt heavy, usually a good indication. I was quite disappointed when I opened the box and the pedal was clearly made of plastic and it was only heavy thanks a metal plate on the bottom. I read the instruction on the bottom plate, and it clearly stated that the box used a battery, as did the written manual in the box; this is where things went downhill. The manual stated that the pedal did not use an on/off switch even though the pedal clearly clicked when pushed indicating the presence of an on/off switch. The manual also stated that unit employed a battery, but when I opened the pedal to install a battery I discovered that there was no battery compartment. Additionally, the pedal was made of a light gage plastic. Therefore, I closed the pedal and proceeded to use an adaptor to power it. I plugged the pedal into my amp and plugged in my bass to discover that the pedal did not function at all. At that point, I threw the towel and decided to return the pedal. The moral of the story is that you get what you pay for. I will be sticking with brands like BOSS and MXR from now on; lesson learned.

What a great equalizer for the bass guitar someone might say that it doesn’t matter but I can hear a difference in the way it adjusts the frequencies great price as well
