ZS-18 Acoustic Guitar Nut for Bass Guitar

Q: What neck radius is this designed for and what gauge strings are slots filed for?

Maker's official product page (https://goldtonemusicgroup.com/zeroglide/products/zs-18) lists those dimensions as: Radius: 12" String Gauges: .107", .087", .067", .047" You can see the slots are cut fairly wide. I've read somewhere online that having a zero fret makes it less important to have the slots filed exactly to the string gauges, because now the string pressure is not on the nut but on the zero fret? Honestly I don't really understand the principle, so I recommend looking it up yourself. FWIW, I can attest that I use LaBella flats of .096 - .039 gauges with ZS-18 and that hasn't caused me any noticeable problems. Oh, and they have a very responsive customer support too.
