Was what I expected and needed. Decent quality and seems to all be there

This kit came with a good variety of emitters and receivers in different sizes. The components were clearly labeled and easy to sort through. I used a few for a small electronics project, and they worked as expected. The pins were straight and soldered cleanly without any issues. It’s helpful that the set includes multiple types of receivers, so I didn’t have to dig through other supplies to test things out. Nice to have everything together in one pack for quick prototyping or repairs. I’ll keep the extras around for future builds.

I'm not an electrical engineer by any stretch of the imagination.I am learning to breadboard guitar effect pedals. That's a start, right?I do not even know if I can turn this idea into something that works, but I wanted to experiment with signal sharing and pedal linking through the emitters and receivers, and try to make a control for changing the pedal parameters with a "remote" by the guitar bridge.Who knows if I can get anything like that to work, but this set of pieces and parts will help me try.

I ordered this kit so that I could add IR capabilities to Arduino and Raspberry Pi products. The kit comes with a variety of IR LEDs and receivers. The modules are about the same quality as most LED kits. I love that there is a variety of items to work with. I also found this useful for adding turning IR controlled devices into smart devices.

I've used at least one of each of these now with no issues. These have tons and tons of uses, remotes being the most obvious. These are some of the most commonly used diodes too so you'll have no problem finding projects and documentation on how to use these. Some of these are even used in consumer electronics, so you can think of this as a sort of a repair kit too. Any hobbyist should have some familiarity with IR in my opinion, it adds a whole extra layer of control to just about any project.
