It’s a must read for anyone working in strategy in healthcare. Nothing revolutionary but the foundation.

It will help you to undrstand how to develop strategies in your job.

This compilation is about 80% business cliches about strategy, and 20% really, really useful applications in healthcare. Overall I thought those nuggets that are directly related to the transformation of healthcare are extremely insightful and useful, one just needs to skip past all of the fluff in the text.

Must read for anyone in healthcare. Great book that highlights key components of strategy in building a successful business and a successful healthcare organization. For too long, healthcare organizations have operated as if they were outside the rules of business and did not have to compete due to an abundance of capital inflow and patients. That is all changing. Hospitals and clinics are having to learn business skills, differentiation, marketing, strategy and more and this book can help any healthcare practicioner or healthcare executive in their organization.Note: It is the same book as HBR on Strategy with 2 special articles for healthcare attached so may not be worth the buy if you have the other one
