This is a fun doodle board and is so thin that it is easy for your child to carry and easy for you to slide into your bag when not in use. When I first got it, in one of my pix, you can see that there were smudges on the surface. However, a simple unlock of the screen on the back and a push of the dinosaur button on the right hand side cleared it away.There's a tiny bit of DIY to attach the string to the pen and the writing tablet. It can be attached to either side of the pen holder but only attached to the marker side of the pen. Also, be sure to remove the instruction label on top of the dinosaur clear button.The 2 ends of the writing "pen" have different sized points. One is angled like a marker and the other is rounded.It uses a single CR 2025 cell battery that is pre-installed. I requested this through the Vine program, in anticipation of our 22 month old granddaughter's visit. I had purchased a similar type of erase tablet for her for a plane ride several months ago, and, though I never actually saw that one, my daughter said that she really liked it. Thought she might be able to make use of this one, while visiting. It does definitely work; you can write with the included stylus, and the writing is in different shades of green/blue; it also erases completely, using the marked "delete" button. My only reasons for not giving it 5 stars are that it feels really lightweight and somewhat flimsy, and the writing is not all that distinct; in fact, my husband said "so, is there some illumination?" Maybe the one I'd purchased for her months ago was similar, and I'm nitpicking. I do think she'll like it.

This writing tablet/doodle board is a life saver. It so easy to use. It keeps my grandson occupied. He loves it and just plays and writing on his board. It keeps him occupied while I drove. I have enough batteries to keep him busy! Definitely worth it!

I got this for my grandson to doodle on and it works very well. It’s a cute little dinosaur and he likes dinosaurs. I like that the pen attaches to the tablet so it’s not easily lost or choked on. erases quickly with the press of a button.
