The ad didn’t give a very good description of how it works. So I will.To unlock, just push the key all the way into the keyhole and it clicks open (wedge springs back) and pulls out of the device. Quick and easy.To lock push the device into the device and push the little thumb lever until it clicks. No key required to lock it.The lock mechanism is slim and the cable swivels on it.

Ok, here goes: 30 seconds to open package, 30 seconds to read instructions, 30 seconds to fiddle with it and see how it works, 30 seconds practicing with it locking the laptop. That's it! Works reliably. Wish there was a combination lock option, but this thing works fine. Thanks!

This cable lock low profile works as designed. I'm annoyed that the regular cable lock doesn't work and I'm forced to purchase another design.

I purchased this product and after a few months of lite use, the lock jammed and stopped working. I contacted both the seller, Beach Audio, and the manufacturer, Noble Locks. Both refused to honor the product, saying they would not give me a refund or new lock -- both pointed to the other as being the "responsible" party. Apparently, this product has no warranty. I would NOT recommend this seller or this product!

Not only is this an inferior product to the Kensington cable locks (very thin cable that would be easier to cut), but its price is a ripoff. The manufacturer knows its locks are the only ones that fit the XPS and Precision laptops (i.e., they have a monopoly), so it way overprices the product.

Haven't encountered a case where it has been tested, but has held up to daily unlocking and unlocking on my Dell XPS 13 (2015 model). A bit silly that the Dell doesn't use the kingston locking standard, but glad to know this one still works well.

If you have a new Dell, or European Computer then the old locks won't work. This works well, and the cord gives you enough room to lock your computer on a high table.

Works with the Dell XPS. Feels a little awkward in the slot but seems to work as intended.
