21st CenturySlow Release Iron Tablets, 60 Count

I bought the 21st Century Slow Release Iron for supplemental reasons during my pregnancy. I’ve been teetering on low levels of iron - about low 10 range and my Doctor- concerned and wanting to ensure avoidance of a possible blood transfusion when it’s time for baby arrival advised to start taking additional iron supplement.I started these about 2 months now ( June 21st is when they were delivered). I take it daily since in the morning on empty stomach and wait an hour to start eating or drinking coffee ( coffee is known to prevent iron absorption). I also take a prenatal vitamin which gives 27mg of iron.I went and got my blood withdrawn 3 days ago during my gestational glucose test and my Iron is at 11. So they definitely work. I might need to take one extra pill throughout the week to just help me keep it up, because I haven’t really changed my diet to increase my iron. Anyway, get these. They don’t bother me on empty stomach. i haven’t really suffered constipation, there are times depending on what I’m eating I can get it. It hasn’t been harsh this pregnancy. As my first though. Take a Fiber or probiotic supplement it will help ( no laxatives - very unhealthy to take daily). The price point is great. They look just like the popular name brand slo fe and size of tablet if not mistaken is similar too ( took these my first pregnancy). These have 45mg iron sulfate & they have calcium 31mg. Getting ready to order my 2nd bottle soon.

These slow release iron pills are small and easy to swallow, they have been the only ones that do not affect my stomach, I like how many pills come in this small bottle especially for the price.

Great stuff. No upset stomach, either taking with or without food.

My Doctor suggested this for me to increase my iron intake. She noted she took it while she was pregnant and the slow releasing made it much easier to deal with in my system. I do not notice any issues with the pill making me feel sick like some others do, I also take it with vitamin C to help with absorption. Can't beat the price!

I've been using these iron pills for a while now, and they really help keep my iron levels normal. I appreciate that they are easy to take and don't upset my stomach like some other supplements.
