Why did you pick this product vs others?:Just got these in today and already love them. They don't slip on my tile and they don't slip on my carpet. They stay in place nice and tight. If someone tries to break in, we're going to hear it and be ready for them. So will the dog! They are sturdy. They have many adjustments for any size door. I just ordered two more for the rest of the doors. Quality is good, price is a great value, and they are going to serve a great security purpose.

I was surprised at how easy to use the door bar was. I only used it to secure doors, but I tested it with a friend and they were unable to force their way in with the bar in place. Despite this, it is very easy to remove the bar to quickly exit through the door. For the price this is an excellent choice for home or travel security, and disassembles easily to fit it into a suitcase. I was impressed by the look of the device too, it has a functional form but is not garish or unpleasant to look at.

This door bar is excellent. It is made out of thick steel. It stays clean easily, the paint is sturdy and looks great a year in after many drops. It fits snugly on the door handle and makes me feel safer at night.The only real negative of this product is the rubber base could be made out of better, slightly tackier material to help it not slide if the door was under attack. It is made out of a very dry rubber. Still, it is functional.Another warning, if you have a dog and sit it next to the door in the mornings and your dog bumps into it, it will drop and make quite a loud smack. This happens to me regularly.Some considerations of note:-From my research, the base should be around 6 inches to a foot away from the door. Adjust accordingly.-If your door or door frame is weak, the door is likely to break before this product fails. You may need to make other adjustments to increase the strength of your actual door to get full efficacy.Good product for the price.

Love these, it's slip resistant, easy to use, and we tested it- door will not open. Works great on the front door. I bought two. One for the front one for the back, DUH! The back opens out- so doesn't work so much there. I used the second one to bar the door wall.
