I bought this mainly to help with tiny screws and parts while working on watches, but it turns out to be useful for so much more. The magnification is clear and sharp, and the built-in lights make a big difference when you're trying to see small details, especially in low light. I bought this for my mother who is having a real difficult time seeing they all seem too small or too heavy and she just absolutely loves it. There are three different switches for brightness and she even carries it in her purse. I was so happy because she was having a hard time seeing! She uses it all the time it runs on three AAA batteries and it is well worth the price and good quality.

Well made and good balance. Bought two. Put batteries in one and the other one did not . Easy to accidentally press the light up button and there are times when not want that feature, so no batteries installed. Size is great as smaller, 3 inch ones have to be moved a lot and hard to read. The 5 inch size is great for reading. Happy with product. No distortion.

The magnification is fantastic. The light is great. However, it is extremely easy to turn the light on accidentally putting it back in the bag.

My dad never needed a magnifying glass because he had bifocals on his actual glasses. After cataract surgery he doesn't need to wear his glasses anymore to see distance. However he needs glasses to see how close. The doctor told us not to use his old glasses for reading because that would mess with his brains ability to learn how to use the new lenses he has in his eyes.During the transition time I pick this up for him and he's able to read his paper, magazines and bills. I do really like that it has a light on it however there is what is stated in the description as a UV light. I don't understand the purpose of that. My issue is that one click turns the light on, a second click turns the light off but the UV light on and the third click turn everything off. My father forgets the third click so he ends up leaving it with the UV light on that runs down the AAA batteries inside. Other than that issue it's a nice large magnifying glass that is light and easy to hold.

I have been looking for a top-quality magnifying glass for at least one year. I finally found a great product in this purchase.I wanted to be able to read fine print without straining or swapping out prescription eyeglasses. Although I wanted more of a hands-free "desktop" lens, I couldn't find anything that I thought would work for me. And I didn't want to wear anything on my head.I am pleased with the following features: large viewing lens, crisp image, and comfortable handle. My biggest surprise was that the three LED lights are very bright and helpful. The lens itself has a smaller lens that also works quite well.This magnifier is a little heavy, but that's the trade-off for having a large, high-quality lens and a handle that holds 3 AAA batteries for the LED lights.My only concern is that when I tap the lens gently on a soft surface (my couch) I hear a slight rattle. To me that only means that I should take care not to be too rough with the lens (and I'm thinking that's a good idea, regardless).

The back of a package, the small letters, almost unreadable, UNTIL you get this item. Great amplification of sight. Great lighting as it provides a strong white light on the subject you’re reading and if that’s not good enough, you can view it through ultraviolet light, which is very handy at night. This little bugger does the job. Highly recommended… but I was always with magnifying lenses. Treat the lens like gold!
