They are good discs for intended purposes.

More reliable than some other brands.
MY PC drives never seem to complain about what DVDs I use, ultra cheapies from the pound shop, Tesco/Asda own brand etc. all work fine in my PC DVD writers. However, the same cannot be said of my DVD recorders. An old Pioneer DVR3100S would not write to any blank DVDs for more than a few seconds, it had trouble because it wasn't designed for todays higher speed discs (no firmware updates since about 2006). My Liteon also stopped writing reliably to most discs I tried. Well surprise, surprise, both recorders write happily and reliably to these, so far so good and of course they still work perfectly on my PC. Maybe it's the dye these discs use compared to some other makes that makes them more reliable and more likely to work, but whatever it is they have saved me money on a new DVD recorder :)

One of the best DVD-R discs out there
I have been using Verbatim DVD-R discs for many years to copy my system recovery backup software in the event of emergency.In all that time, I have never experienced an issue where the Verbatim DVD failed to boot the recovery software when the situation arose. Highly recommended.

Zeroes but no one's
These discs from Verbatim have a 30% chance of finalizing.. i would not recomend.The reason for the 3 stars rather than one star is-i think people(me included) sometimes avoid reading 1 star reviews because there more of a rant about the raw deal they got rather than reviewing the product.This review is for the discs and not the company who sold them(not there fault they don't work).Not all is lost a bought a 50 pack of Verbatim Blu-ray discs and all the discs have been faultless.That is all.
