This stuff is so nice
I have a really bad T-zone, very dry cheeks but my forehead and nose produce enough oil every day to deep fry chicken. I really like this stuff. I can’t say it reduces my own oil production but it feels good to not be putting oil on my face when I know my skin is just going to produce more later. It’s the first time I’ve tried any oil free moisturizers and I was pleasantly surprised when it went on looking matte instead of gross and shiny. It’s lightweight and you don’t feel like you’re caking bacon grease onto your face when applying. The consistency reminds me of petroleum jelly a bit, but if it was a little more gel-like. No irritation or burning, no smell. The reason I left off one star is because of a few minor things-1) it doesn’t spread very far, I definitely have to use a lot more than other oil based moisturizers and I’m afraid I will go through it quickly because of that, and thus have to purchase moisturizer a lot more often than I’ve ever had to, though I do still feel like it’s worth it for the cost because my face does not take well to the oil based stuff, it clogs my pores and just adds to the shininess of my oily skin2) If I have a particularly dry zit that’s healing I have to put on a lot more extra in that spot, whereas with other moisturizers it usually seemed one coat everywhere would cut it. Not with this, I have to go back over after applying everywhere and add an extra dab on my dry zits or else you can see the flaky skin poking through3) I REALLY wish this was in a tub instead of a bottle. I hate having to spend extra effort and time to squeeze out stuff like toothpaste every single day for the last few weeks of the tube’s life. And needing to apply multiple times when I have dry acne to cover up, it’s just a big inconvenience. I would be ecstatic if Minimalist could upgrade this to a tub that I can just screw the lid off of and take a swipe of product however many times I need to every morningAll that aside though I’m pretty happy with the product itself. Everyone’s skin is different; don’t knock it til you try it!

Surprisingly good moisturizer
This is a really nice basic moisturizer. It feels extremely lightweight, and unlike just about every other moisturizer, it's never once made my face break out OR get dry spots.

Sensitive/acne prone skin MUST HAVE
I am terrifyingly acne prone, no matter the moisturizer I used it would always seem to break me out the next day or leave my face red hot (I’m looking at you cerave) So I tried my luck with this moisturizer and omg. No inflamed face, no breakouts, no pilling under makeup. Just a soft, supple face. The moisturizer is not greasy at all, it feels so soft plus there’s no added scent. I apply this at night after washing my face with my Mixsoon cleansing foam (which is also great for sensitive/acne prone skin) and my face has never looked or felt better. I am so glad I decided to try this product. I will definitely keep buying more in the future!

Disappointed – Caused Breakouts Despite Having Clear Skin for Years
I had high hopes for the Minimalist 10% Vitamin B5 Face Moisturizer, especially after seeing so many positive reviews about how it helps oily and acne-prone skin. I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in case it helps someone else avoid the same issue.I have oily but relatively clear skin and haven’t had any breakouts in years. I was looking for a lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated without clogging pores, and the ingredient list looked promising. I introduced this product carefully into my routine, using it only once a day at first, and did not pair it with any new skincare items to avoid reactions.Unfortunately, within just a few days of using it, I started developing small pimples on my forehead and cheeks, areas where I haven’t had acne in a very long time. Thinking it could be a purging phase, I continued for a few more days, but it only got worse. By the end of the first week, I had multiple red, inflamed breakouts, including whiteheads and deeper bumps—something I haven’t experienced in nearly five years. As soon as I stopped using the moisturizer, my skin slowly started to calm down. It’s been a few weeks now, and my skin is just beginning to recover, but the texture and post-acne marks are still noticeable.I really wanted to like this product—the texture is nice, and it absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. But for me, it did more harm than good. Everyone’s skin is different, but if you’ve had stable, acne-free skin and are thinking of trying this, proceed with caution. One star for causing unexpected breakouts and irritation despite a previously clear complexion.

So Far I Like This Product
As a bald guy, I can't stand when lotions leave my head looking shiny. There's one product I love that gets rid of the shine, but it's pretty expensive. I've tried a lot of different options, and so far, I'm pleased with this one.It doesn't feel greasy or oily at all. My head does get a bit shiny after a few hours, but that could just be my skin type. If you also struggle with oily skin or have sensitive skin, this product is definitely worth a try—and you can't beat the price!**UPDATE**I ordered two more of these, as I've enjoyed the product. I'm removing one start due to how the item was shipped to me (again, this is my send purchase); the two tubes were sent in an envelope. As we all know, mail carriers take great care of all packages and don't throw them around (one tube was open, and the other only crushed).I also understand it's cheaper to send things in manella envelopes, but lotion is probably better to be sent in a box, just sayin.
