This trash can has been the champion of our family by far. I personally found it very easy to clean, and it fits very well in the small kitchen we have! While this did replace a larger trash can which caused us to have to take out trash sooner, the addition of a recycling section in an all-in-one unit that doesn't take up a large footprint has been a blessing.So far it has mostly survived all three kids, but not without minor issues. Bear in mind that the stainless steel model *will* show dents and scratches, so as long as you aren't dragging things across it or smacking things into it hard, this is a non-issue. Obviously for me with 3 kids, I cannot and will not complain because it comes with the territory!One of the shocks has failed, and it looks like the other one is starting to fail as well. It appears the leak is coming out of the top seal where the plunger goes through, so it probably just wore out. After 5 years and literally tens of thousands of times absorbing closing forces... Still not going to complain. That is a great service life for something like this!The interior plastic started to break apart, but I think this is moreso caused by us dropping the containers in. Seeing as how it is only one side, I'll leave that up to you to decide if that is a big deal but it doesn't affect structural rigidity or function so again ... Not going to complain!At the end of the day, it has been a phenomenal investment and easily took the place of a larger trash and smaller separate recycling bin. The only thing I wish is that it would stop sliding around, but some quick sticky pad work made this a non issue.If you are looking for a stylish, durable, trash can than can survive the rigors of kids: this will do the trick. While it does have some minor durability concerns, none of them affected operation - as I type this, I have the kids removed and am sanitizing the cans! A great buy I have never once regretted!

Beautiful trash can. No smudges. Minimal smell. Hides the trash bag pretty well (although I was too lazy to tuck it in for this photo.) Opens and closes with ease.

I ordered this when I had to send a different product back that was destroyed in shipping. Different seller. This arrived in a sturdy box w an armor of styrofoam which is needed when shipping these cans. It’s beautiful and shiny and has a step lever to open. I think I saw reviews that you can’t make it stay open. Yes you can. Just open it without stepping on the lever. If you step on the lever it wants to close. Just open it with your hand and close it again. See simple. It really is a pretty shiny can. Easy to clean.

We purchased this model 2 years ago. It's an excellent garbage can, well made, dent free, easy to clean, smudge proof and never had a problem. The first one gets 5+ stars.Purchased a 2nd one and the slow close gas cylinder rod was bent, preventing the lid from closing, so will need to exchange it. Hopefully the replacement will work as well as the first one does.We also purchased one of their small units (1.3 gal Slim Bathroom), and it arrived missing the the pin that holds the lid (looked in the box, found it and was able to insert it so it works as expected).Generally our experience with this brand has been positive and build quality has been very good.However, the last two purchases (Summer 2022) make us wonder if they are experiencing some QA issues.
