Gavottes Crispy Rolled and Fan Wafers (TIN box 52.91oz)

Use on or with Ice cream...accent any dessert. However, they arrived very broken.

I had read the reviews and chose to ignore them. That was a failure on my part to pay better attention. These cookies have a delicious flavor but were crushed when they came. They are not eligible for a refund. However, a few weeks ago I bought Monte Carlo wafers, (currently unavailable) and they were in perfect condition because of the packaging. They were shipped in bubble wrap but these cookies were lightly wrapped in flimsy paper. The tin box was bent, and most of the cookies were broken or crumbling. It is sad that such a nice product flavorwise was ruined due to low quality of shipping materials.

While there are plenty of crumbs and broken cookies inside the tin I received, the top and 2nd layer appear intact enough to consider it an acceptable arrival. I will admit that other reviewers are correct that a tiny bit more packaging could likely help reduce breakage ... some. These cookies are extremely delicate, and designed to be nearly melt in your mouth so some breakage is expected. I'm sure the shipping method (including length and route) strongly influences how many get broken. Overall the flavor is great ... much like a waffle cone. I'm excited to use these for our celebration as a gelato garnish.

I have always loved these ever since I was a child. This review is NOT about the quality of the wafers. Half of the wafers arrived broken and all I have are the CRUMBS. I have a feeling that GAVOTTES knew of this since the tin was NOT SECURE since there was no tape around the lid. Yes, I can use the crumbs as a topping for the ice cream..BUT I DON'T EAT ICE CREAM. Hey, GAVOTTES, you did find a sucker to get rid of that tin.

Cookies are delicious but For how much money these cookies are they need to pack them better so they dont break in little pieces! They are too fragile not to wrap better.

The package wasn’t insulated properly. All the wafers are broken and not beautiful. Yes they taste great, but for the price I wanted them to be esthetically pleasing. NO RETURNS on this item. I am sooooo disappointed

Waffles taste great, they are super thin/crispy so 1/3 of them were crumbled badly in the box prolly due to shipping.
