Great Fun for the kids! - (tip for attaching the pen below)

These tablets are great and my kids LOVE them. They are so easy to draw on and then immediately erase it and start a new doodle!... The main complaint I have seen is about attaching the pen stylus to the writing tablet. I have 2 of these and they BOTH have the pen attached with the supplied stretchy lanyard that was in the box with the tablet. Tip for attaching the stylus: MAKE SURE you attached the lanyard to the pen FIRST!!! You can put the loop through the hole in the pen and then put the lanyard through the loop hole and that will fasten it to the pen. Then you can put the other end of the lanyard through the tablet hole and then run the pen through the lanyard loop hole once connected to teh tablet and then the lanyard will be fastened to the table as well -- that's it, BUT if you put the lanyard on the tablet before putting the pen on the lanyard, then you cannot flip the pen back through it's own loop hole to fasten it to the lanyard. So connect the pen to the lanyard FIRST, then connect the lanyard to the tablet, and all will be good :)

It does what it says it does and works well

I'm a grandfather but I also have a profoundly autistic daughter, as well. I bought just one to start out (for both reasons) and to see if I will buy another (or two) to have around.I'm very happy with it. My autistic daughter is very difficult to predict. I never know what catches her attention or gains her interest. But I also knew she kind of likes "gadgets" and she also likes to draw. So this seemed like it might be a good shot at making a hit. And it did. It took her a few days to accommodate herself (she would watch us use it and not show too much interest, to start.) But after a couple of days now, she is using it many times each day and also really loves pressing the "clear" button on it, afterwards. (The gadget aspect.) For us, finding things our daughter uses makes it a "high value" item, by definition. So a win is a big win and makes it easily worth the cost.I just tried it with a grandson, as well, today. (About 3 yrs old.) And we played "dot" games (where you put your initial in a box when you close it and get a free turn) and then just drew on it a bit. He then got a physical coloring book out and we worked on that for a while. This was the first time with him and I can say he was "interested for a bit" but then lost interest. But that doesn't mean we won't find more interest, later. It was at least a good start. But in his case, if the interest doesn't increase then I'd say that the price is... "maybe okay." But I'm expecting more in the future.Regardless, the win with our daughter means we'll be buying another. The background colors are fixed, not variable, and the interior colors are brighter and more easily read than the perimeter colors at the top and bottom. It's all readable, but good lighting helps if the entire surface is to be easily read. The device comes with a small slide switch on the edge which is the same color as the entire frame body and I didn't know, at first, that its position needed to be changed before the big silver "clear" button on the front would work. The purpose is a "protect" switch to keep you from accidentally erasing something you wanted to keep for a while and it appears that the unit is shipped with the switch in the "protect" position. So just be aware. (I hate admitting it, but I wasn't immediately aware and instead felt the device was "defective" when I first starting trying to use it.)

Easy for toddlers to use!

I use the writing table to write ABC when I sing the song of ABC for my son. He loves to see everything to be disappeared when I hit the erase bottom. Pros: it is easy for adults and toddlers to use the writing table. Cons: I need to figure out how to replace a new battery in case if it runs out of battery life.

I use this as a learning board

I’m starting to lean Japanese, and found out the LED board is a great tool to learn the characters. The size is perfect to fit in my backpack and I don’t need to worry a about if the ink is gonna stick on my textbook. Overall, recommend it.
