This cat post is perfect. It's very sturdy and surprisingly very stable. My cat is quite big and he loves to stretch on this every time he wakes up from a deep nap. The size of the post is also a good fit for his size. First he runs to greet me and then runs to the post to stretch. Every time. And the post holds his weight and keeps steady. In addition, I'm sure my furniture is grateful, as am I, because this post gets all the scratching.As for packaging, when I saw the size of the carton box I was very skeptical regarding final size and durability but I was proven wrong, and assembling was easy.

This scratching post is a good size and looks great in our room. It was easy to assemble and it functions as it should. It's very sturdy and stable against my Maine Coons rough housing.

While this is a scratching post that all three cats enjoyed (they love to reach high and stretch while scratching) I was very disappointed that now, only seven months after I bought it, the post has fallen off. Turns out the bottom that screwed on to the base is just an insert that is placed into the hollow post, and this was a cheap surprise to me to discover this was the construction of this post. As mush as my cats enjoyed the height, I won’t buy it again.

Just had my cat neutered and the plastic cone did not work for him so I purchased this and it works wonderful. He can eat and drink with it on, it's soft so he can sleep with it on like he has a little pillow. It's adjustable and has cute stars and planets on it. Can be washed and has a nice wide Velcro closing on it. Well worth it.

My cat was not interested in this. It was tall enough for her to stretch out on because she's small, but she didn't have any interest in it. I tried adding catnip as well. I did re-gift it to a co-worker, so it' s hopefully going to be useful for some sweet kitty out there somewhere.
