Glorious book
This book is incredible. Rhiannon Lambert, a Registered Nutritionist knows her onions....and her celeriac, cauliflower, chia and just about every food you could dream up. And she has the gift of explaining what good nutrition is in plain English, why it matters, how it matters, what we can all do about it on a variety of budgets, and how it impacts our health in the present and the future. She blows away ingrained myths and it's a joy to read. Clearly written with love and passion, it has the most beautiful photos and clear diagrams. She makes a complex subject both accessible and engaging. Among the thousands of nutrition books, blogs, pseudo social media sites all clamouring for our attention, I suggest you cut the wheat from the chaff and just buy this one. It has everything you need. Her wealth of knowledge is extraordinary, and there is not a molecule of superiority, just a gentle mission to make us all happier and healthier in a easy, adaptable and non-faddish way. This book is my go-to de-stressor when I wind down at the end of a hectic workday.

Informative and enjoyable!
This book is fantastic for anyone looking to improve their health, lose weight and learn about the science behind what we put in our bodies. It debunks a lot of diet culture myths and is pure facts, no nonsense. Itâs written clearly and illustrated well. I am studying a science degree, but this book is approachable and understandable for those without scientific backgrounds. You wonât find any quick fixes, diet fads or preaching about any specific diet in this book- what you will find is an easy to read Q&A style format that will educate you on the best ways to fuel your body and reach any health goals you have in a sustainable, long term way.Very interesting and insightful read!

This an excellent book on food and nutrition.it is set out in short easy to understand articles that are well written and added by superb, graphics. I gave bought many books on this subject but most othem are long winded and full of jargon. This book is not written like a novel, it is easy to read and most importantly it is easy to put down and then pickup and carry on later. It covers a variety of food and health topics in detail , I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about food an nutrition.

Fantastic books
A great series of books. We have all of these from the 'series'. My daughter ( 13 ) is home educating and has discovered a passion for cooking/nutrition. She reads mostly in the evenings and picks these up at bed time, to study a little, and prefers books to online research. They're well written and factual. They've been super useful books and have proved themselves invaluable, as she offers up all kinds of facts she's absorbed, as we'll as insisting on reading sections back to me. Saying that, these are not Kids DK books. Most definitely suitable for adults, but also older children with a passion for absorbing information.

Everyone should own this book
No more diets, just a sound understanding of nutrition and how the body works. This book is incredible, I thought I knew alot about food having following endless diets but I learned more from the first few pages in this book than I ever expected.Very well written and easy to understand, laid out incredibly well so you can either read whole sections or dip in and out of what you are looking for. It goes into detail about the different kinds of foods and how the body needs them to work well. One unexpected area that has made quite an impact on my thinking is following the process of digestion. I now realise I had become quite detached from my body when it came to the food I eat, not thinking about how I would digest some of the food or the overall impact it would have on me. The portion control section is excellent and a straight forward way to reach balance in your diet. This book should be in every home, it might just change your life!

So interesting & easy to read
As someone who has an interest in nutrition and food I wasn't sure I'd learn anything new here. It just looked quite beautiful. But this book is fantastic! Packed to the brim with easy tips and info to help inform a good diet. I made a shopping list of new things I could add to my weekly shop as I read through it. Really easy to read, engaging and relevant - you won't want to put it down. And once I've finished I'm going to let my kids enjoy it too. It encourages a super healthy approach to food that's refreshing. Everyone should read this book - well done Rhiannon Lambert đ

Beautifully presented and easy to read
So well laid out, packed full of extremely easy, uncomplicated information! And WOW is it a fascinating read when you're nolonger dieting and instead reading from the perspective of health/what feels good/how to nourish your body.I love that Rhiannon covers the fact dieting isunsustainable within this book and covers what does work from a nutritionist perspective. As someone who has gone from dieter to eating intuitively, it was so important in the beginning (beginning' being a very long time for me!) to eat all the less nutritious foods in abundance to completely neutralise them.I'm at a stage where the nutrition part is sinking in, and I'm no longer looking to eat for weight loss, I'm looking to eat for what feels good in my body, what serves my body and what makes me feel my best. Weight loss happens to be a by product of no longer overeating as a result of the psychological work I've I done/continue to do.But this book is somewhat really helping with this mind/body connection I've got going on, in terms of 'what' I'm eating, by explaining everything so straightforward!I highly recommend!Thank you Rhiannon for gracing us all with this little piece of treasure that just so happens to look gorgeous on my bookshelf!
