This is a great replacement for the OEM filter

I was skeptical to purchase this item due to all of the negative reviews about not being the right item. One customer said it was just folded black paper. NOT SO this item is the EXACT same filter that came out of my new six month old Kenmore French door style fridge. As you can see from the photos my old filter is on the right and the new one on the left (be it upside down). I too don't really know if the air filter really works , never had any lingering smells in there but I keep it clean. I took a close up of the old one and there are some bits of dust or something hanging in there so I guess its doing something. Anyway these filters are a bargain Sears Direct parts wanted double the price for just one so I will definitely be re-ordering.

Great deal on amazon compared to Sears. These are the correct filter for the Kenmore fridge model 253.70413414, side by side with bottom freezer drawer. I’ve found Annual replacement is about all you need unless you keep lots of smelly food in your fridge.

This fit perfectly to replace my existing filter. It's very difficult to tell if it is working as well or better than the previous filter I had. The one thing I did notice is that the carbon material seems to be more flimsy than the factory filter that was installed. The accordion carbon filter was falling out of position on one side, so it didn't cover the entire opening. I doubt it will impact the performance much at all, but likely indicates slightly cheaper material used.

I was nervous buying these but they were exactly the same thing as what came from the manufacture when we bought our fridgidair gallery. Was super easy to pull the old one out and pop this one in. It came in a 2 pack so Im already all set for the next time I have to change it. I would for sure buy this product again

This air filter was bought as a replacement for the one that came with my fridge. It seems to work well as I have noticed the smells in my fridge are reduced since installation. This product was an exact fit.
