I purchased the glucosamine supplement six months ago and I’ve take one pill with dinner daily since then. Other glucosamine supplants aren’t an option because of a shellfish allergy, so I was pleased to find this one. I’m not sure how it helps joints yet but it defiantly is being absorbed by my body.Glucosamine supplementation is recommended for chronic headaches and migraines and I’ve noticed a reduction in them. I’m not sure if it’s the supplement but it could be.I suspect I had Covid in February 2020. My hair started falling out like crazy in summer 2020. Headaches started coming on daily and turning into migraines. I was panicked and nobody had talked about long Covid or hair loss yet. I have two phases of growth that are visible. Thin hairs have come in and they’re almost 3” long meaning they started growing shortly after I started taking this. A new crop is coming in thick and they’re about 1.5” long. Hair grows about 1/2” per month. It has definitely helped! My nails are long and thick again and they’re not peeling as much. I would bet this is helping my joints too since I know for certain it’s being absorbed. Glad I’ve stuck with it. Worth it and worth swallowing a giant pill.

Helps with joint discomfort but be prepared to take a huge pill. I cut it into but ended up with sharp edges.

I love it because it's what I need (I am allergic to shellfish so this is a safe alternative). But be warned, these pills are ginormous and I struggle to swallow them.

I bought this supplement for my two Golden Retrievers, ages 10 & 11.5. For the eldest, my vet recommended Vetriflex, which is a soft bite-sized supplement for joint support. She has minor back and hip aches & pains, simply related to age. Vetriflex is a newer product, & an advanced form of the famous Glycoflex. She recommended the Vetriflex for the Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid, & MSM. I did give 1 bag of the Vetriflex, but was unhappy with all the 'extra' ingredients in them, which simply makes them into a palatable chewy supplement. I wanted something that was basic - just those 4 ingredients without the extra fluff.On my search, this Solgar product is the one that comes closest to the Vetriflex in regards to the % amount of Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid, & MSM per supplement. Plus, it's just that - no extra weird ingredients. My two girls simply eat it with their food (I don't think they even chew it). I give them 1 per day.I have been giving this to both of my girls for the past 3-4 months & have seen improvement in their overall maneuverability, particularly for the eldest. She is able to get up & lie down more quickly/easily, which was the most notable discomfort that she had prior to starting this supplement. And, it is important to note that they also both receive bovine colostrum every day, & have for the past 5-6 years. QUALITY

I have been using this product for about two years after my go-to product was unavailable during the pandemic. I have it on subscribe and save with Amazon. I messed up the schedule awhile back and found myself without for about a week. Within a few days, I started noticing knee discomfort, especially on stairs. Once I got my subscription delivery, I was back to pain-free stair climbing after three days. IT REALLY WORKS!The two negatives I will admit - it's pretty expensive and the pills are HUGE! They are only annoying. Definitely not bad enough to look for an alternative.

When it comes to supplements. I tend to prefer higher quality as it’s usually easier on the stomach. This doesn’t upset my stomach and I can take a triple dose for a long time when I have an exercise routine that is more intense.This is one of the supplements I take as part of my joint maintenance doctrine and am very pleased with the results. Don’t take too much of it for a prolonged period of time, I was triple/ quadruple dosing for a while and my urine smelt weird, surprise surprise. In fact, I probably wouldn’t recommend going that high with it.Overall, it’s a great product that I would recommend.
