US Toy Die Cast Metal Toy School Bus, 5"

I bought this for my grandson who for some reason LOVES school buses. I've already purchased several medium and large size buses so this time around I opted for this cute little bus. It seems very well made & it's NOT plastic. I love it so I think my grandson will be really happy with this little bus.

I bought this toy for my two years old son upon noticing his interest in school buses. Basically he is interested in anything that goes but school buses are among his favourittes. It is a small (5 inch) toy. For those who own 'hot wheels' brand vehicles, I can say it looks and feels similar. May be this one is a little bigger...It has a very simple design. The details of a school bus are well preserved but there is no opening door or a fancy friction system. Just a solid metal plus wheels. I have not observed and wear-tear during 8 months of use and I can say that it is pretty sturdy.However that sturdy metal construction is not beneficial at all times. It can be dangerous in the hands of a young child. Small children can hurt themselves or their play-mates by hitting toys and this one can cause real pain due to its hard material. Therefore, It would be safer if it was made of plastic.Overall, it is simple and offers good fun at a decent price (around $5). Just make sure your child is playing it safe and you are good to go.

My 2 year old loves this school bus! We have hit the stage of motor vehicle fascination and this little bus is awesome. The metal makes the bus feel higher quality and durable. The size is great! He has carried around this school bus since it arrived in his Easter basket. It has gone to school with him, church, car trips, Grandma's house, and it sleeps with him every night.I didn't realize when I ordered it that the door of the bus actually opens, and my son thought this was also really fun when he realized that the door moved. I highly recommend this toy to anyone considering a toy school bus.

The toy school bus was purchased as part of a gag retirement gift for a friend who had purchased an old school bus and then spent three years turning the inside of it into a very nice RV. At the last minute we wanted a toy bus to go with his retirement cake, but did not know if we could find one in time for his party. We found this toy school bus on Amazon and it arrived within three days of ordering it. The quality of the bus is excellent. It was initially supposed to be cake topper, but it was too solid for that so it was placed next to the cake. While we had more serious retirement presents to give, our friend seemed to like the bus the best. It is rugged, looks nice, and works well.

Our 1.5 year old son loves this bus. He sleeps with it, carrys it around everywhere. If you pull it back it will travel on a smooth surface. The door does open and shut, the stop sign can go out or sit along side the bus. Both the door and stop sign seem VERY cheaply made and I keep waiting for them to break. But after two months all is still good, I'm shocked honestly. This is much bigger than a matchbox (perhaps the length of 2, height of 2?). It states 5" in the title so there should be no question to the size, it is about what it says. My only complaint is the door and sign which are more plastic and I feel will break.

Bought this for my almost 4 year old autistic son. Does what it's supposed to do and has been very much enjoyed in the short time he's owned it. It does have rubber wheels, a hood that opens to show off the engine, and door that opens too although I will admit we haven't been able to get the butting to open it (I think it's operator error though haha). The bus has been a hit with my kids, they fought over it, it's been thrown and slammed to the floor but has held up well. I may need to buy another to avoid the sibling fights and I highly recommend it.

I ordered two buses for my 2.5 year old and 4 year old. They are both obsessed with buses, ever since my oldest started school. One of the buses is the one in the picture. I gave the review three stars because I like that one. The other one was missing it's box, and it looks like a bus from the 70's. The hood pops up, and the doors swing inward. Not five minutes after I gave it to my kids, they came back with the doors in their hand, and the hood is about to pop off. The doors are two pieces of sharp metal, and I cannot get them back in the bus no matter how hard I try. They would definitely not be safe for kids that still put things in their mouth. The other bus (that looks like the one in the product picture) does not have doors that move inward or a hood that pops up, and I'm glad. No worries about seeing any sharp little metal parts on an x-Ray!I asked Amazon for a replacement, and will not be giving the other bus back to my kids. Hopefully the new one I'm sent is the one they advertised!Update: Got the replacement bus today. It's the same dangerous one. Knocked my review down to one star. I was very, very adamant that I get the right one (the one in the picture) and the Amazon employee said he would make a note of it. I guess he didn't, or the company just refuses to acknowledge that they made a mistake. Don't order this product- what you see is NOT what your get!

He is very rough on his toys. He has played with this bus for over 3 months and it is still in one piece.
