Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Red, 12 Count
PURCHASED 1/2025 - Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Red, 12 Count - - I use these frequently and I like how they write and the red color is a little weaker than I would like. The price seems a little steep but I didn't have time to get it where I usually go to get them. The package/box came smashed up but the pens were not damaged.

Favorite pen
Felt tip pens are my favorite and this is my go to brand.

My go-to red pen
I have been using these since my days as a newspaper journalist, and there isn't a red felt tip pen on the market that can match it.

Can underline when laying on couch
I like to lie on the couch and underline passages from books. Later, I may go back to these books and , on the basis of the underlined passages, may or may not write a review of the book.Frequently I find that I am unable to do the underlining in this manner. The pen just stops working even though it is not out of ink. I think that it has something to do with the horizontal/vertical angle at which the pen is held. Many pens require you to sit at a desk and won't let you underline (for any length of time) if you're laying down. I find this very frustrating and, when it happens, I have a strong urge to throw the pen against the wall. In fact, on many occasions I have done so.. This, of course, accomplishes nothing (except possibly get a little ink on the walls.)Recently, I discovered that Paper Mate Flair pens have the capacity to underline even when you're in a prostrate position. Therefor, I highly recommend these pens. On the side of the box in which these pens are packed there is the claim:1. Quick drying water based ink resists smearing. Won't bleed through paper.2. Felt tip provides bold and expressive lines. They could also add:3. Capable of underlining while laying on couch.

Just what I needed
My only concern about this product is that it did not seem as fluid as I expecting. My previous pens like this were much mor moist. Maybe I don't remember right. Oh well, that was my only concern.

Does not fade nearly as much in sunlight like some other brands of markers
I use red for folder labels. Over time I noticed some of my labels faded out to the point they were unreadable, but others could still be read. These folders are next to a window but the label side is facing away from the window.I tried Flair, Sharpie, and Pentel markers by writing on paper with the respective markers and attaching the paper directly against the window. See attached picture. "Sharpie" is to the right of "Flair" and "Pentel" is below. Note that the "Pentel" was added a couple of weeks after the first two were done. After two months, the clear winner in not fading in direct sunlight is Flair.Needless to say, I will be only using Flair for folder labels and anything else that I think will be long term or permanent.

One pen to rule them all
I feel compelled to write a review for this marker. I love these and use them exclusively for anything that doesn't have to be in ink/pencil. I enjoy how bright the red color is and how it draws the eyes to corrections or anything really.I have used them for making flashcards and I believe my retention rate has soared as a result of the glaring red color angrily demanding that I learn what it has written. The single best part of this particular set is that they seem to be immortal. Previously I purchased in packs of two from that place that shall not be named and each pen would suffer a quick demise of less than 3 days time. I don't think they were able to stand up to the pressure of such high expectations.I have been using the same pen for at least 3 weeks under intense writing conditions.I have since branched out into other color options that are equally as vivid and promising. My favorites being orange and green. I hope to one day own the ultimate 48-pen set. It is on my wishlist.
