It explains most of your complaints in the 3% and 7% categories. </b>My review so far:*Consistency is exactly what is expected for balm.*Scent is great and have gotten a ton of feedback from peers and family. Smells great, bottom line.*Stops itching as noted as it gets to the root of your beard. Just make sure you put a little bit on your fingers then rub it around to make it clear, then apply throughout your beard and to the roots of your beard. Important.*I use a beard brush to manage my curly beard and is recommended as I saw complaints in the poor reviews about this. If you have stray hairs, train them with a beard brush and a blow dryer on medium heat, not HOT!Overall, this is a great beard balm! Natural, full of fine ingredients and made in USA. Not sure where the tin is made, but probably Chinese(I would like clarification on this). Looks to be aluminum tin but not sure.In then end for those that say it does not work, opinionated statement and based on your beard type. For those that say use "conditioner" same affect, well, a ton of store bought poorly made conditioners have all type of chemicals and manufactured oils that can dry your beard beyond belief. Conditioner chemicals comprise of Benzyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Propyl Alcohol and Ethanol. Parabens are also used with preservatives that can cause skin sensitivities, so watch out people! For those that say, it melts, changes color, etc., well, place/store in a cool area, do not expose to heat! This beard balm softens and conditions really well without feeling greasy or heavy. It adds a nice natural shine and makes combing through my beard much easier. The ingredients feel high quality, and a little goes a long way—making the 2 oz tin a solid value for money. Definitely effective for taming and nourishing a dry or unruly beard!

I was extremely skeptical about dropping $15 on a beard product, however, after using this balm for 2+ weeks, I am happy I did! I have a sensitive nose and tend to get migraines with high-fragrance anything. That was my main concern. But this scent is great! It's light on the nose, doesn't linger for hours, and is actually quite pleasant. My wife really enjoys the smell as well!I bought it for two main purposes: To tame the rogue hairs, and help soften my beard. In 2 weeks, I can truthfully say this stuff works well. I have curly beard hair, which creates a mess of crazy hairs! This balm allows me to tame my beard and keep the hairs running in one direction. Keep in mind it's not a miracle worker; it won't make curly hair straight! However it has enough strength to keep them from sticking up and out! It also does a good job "softening" your beard. Beard hair is very coarse. Prior to this, I had the dreaded "beardruff" going. It hurt to scrub my beard with shampoo as I tried to cure that problem. But after 2 weeks of this balm, my hair is much softer to the touch. Again, don't be dumb; it's not a miracle worker. Your hair is still going to be coarse! But it absolutely moisturizes and keeps the hair looking and feeling healthy! My beard doesn't hurt to rub anymore. And the beardruff is no longer there. The balm gives a nice sheen/shine to your beard also, which makes it look healthier to the naked eye.Why 4 stars? I so badly wanted to give this a 5-star rating and if I was single, I could! However, while the balm works wonders for me, it has negatively affected my wife. After kissing her with this balm in my mustache, she breaks out around her lips. We tried the process of elimination to determine the cause and sure enough, it's the balm. I saw some other negative reviews about people having an allergic reaction to this. It seems my wife is one of those.I now have a tough choice ahead of me: To balm or not to balm? Balm and feel good/look good but no kissing? Or no balm while looking like a homeless beard but kissing (or is that counter-productive...will she want to kiss me if I have the whole homeless beard thing going)?? Oh decisions, decisions......
